Ok Dolls, I know we’re all finally coming down from our leftover Halloween candy sugar highs, but I have to throw it back and talk about Halloween for just a second! We all know that I’m a girl who loves a good theme, so Halloween is really exciting for me! I can’t be the only mom who day dreams about matching family costumes all year, right?
This year gave me the harsh realization that this might be my last year to have as much say so in what the littles want to dress up as! I had already purchased the most precious costumes…Ada would be Little Red Riding Hood and Finn would be The Big Bad Wolf. Turns out, all Finn wanted to be was a superhero. After a lot of convincing (thank you Teen Wolf for the win!) I got my final year of coordinated costumes.
Some of my favorite over the years have been Ada as the most beautiful Snow White (not at all biased) and Finn as the cutest Paddington Bear there ever was (seriously, no bias). And who can forget the year that my elaborate plans got the best of me. Finn was going to be a train conductor…and y’all that is when I learned that turning a cardboard box into a little train is not as easy as it seems! My husband Jason stayed up the two nights before Halloween just to finish it. Because…well…that’s parenting, Dolls.
Next week I’m going to be sharing my favorite dishes to prepare for Thanksgiving. Hint: So not a casserole!
